Single Review | Britney Spears - Clumsy

Britney Spears
Clumsy - Pre-Order Track
RCA
Release date: August 11, 2016

By Shawal Ras

Someone got a little clumsy at work yesterday. Oops.

Britney Spears' latest preview track, 'Clumsy', co-written by the singer and Talay Riley, made its way online yesterday and it is so damn hot the Army are in tears.

Rhythmic handclap from the get-go, a number of "woah-oh-oh"s, that signature "... oops!", and a banging pulverized climax - 'Clumsy' is an instant Top 10 hit waiting to be released as a single + a clubby music video.

You heard us, Brit. Make it happen!

Anyway, we've listened to 'Make Me...' and the cartoon-ish 'Private Show', now we have 'Clumsy' and a snippet of 'Just Love Me' (!!!), it is apparent that Britney is gunning for a fresher and slightly edgier new sound. Just few days ago, she described some of the songs will be "urban" and last night, the great DJ Mustard has confirmed a possible single titled "Mood Ring".

I'm stoked. 'Clumsy' is now available as an instant grat track once you pre-ordered Glory (out August 26).
