Homegrown rock quintet Kyoto Protocol have been taking the Malaysian music scene by storm and here's a quick review of their ode to the mothercity, 'KL I Sayang You,' in anticipation of the Good Vibes Festival happening this weekend(!).

A dark comedy piece on the everyday struggles of KL-ites, the emvee depicts the band's vocalists' arduous journey from waking up in the morning until reaching the office. Almost all Malaysians will be able to somehow relate to both the tragic lyrics and the scenes in the video – ranging from not being able to find a parking to being honked albeit walking in the pedestrian lane.

Various famous locales of the city also make appearances, including the LRT stations, Pavilion and Bukit Bintang. For good measure there is also a montage of Malaysians voicing out their opinions on the local unity and its ongoing erosion.

There's a lot more up their sleeves so be sure to catch Kyoto Protocol live on Day 2 of Good Vibes Festival only at Gohtong Jaya this weekend!
