TV | MTV Video Music Awards 2015 - Announcement

By Shawal Ras

Judging by the many fucks-free promo videos, this year’s MTV Video Music Awards #VMAs2015 is going to be the craziest night of the year!

To be hosted by Miley Cyrus on August 30th, this year’s nominations are lead by Taylor Swift, who is up for nine awards, followed by her pal, Ed Sheeran (six), and many more.

As for the performances, there’s not much to know on who’ll be on the stage just yet, but so far, we’re pretty sure Nick Jonas will be performing ‘Levels’ in the pre-show and The Weeknd to perform super groovy ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ in the main show.

And since I am all the way in Malaysia (sobs), I’ll be watching the live feed of the show through MTV Asia (Astro 713) and you bet your ass I’ll be tweeting like a morbid fan via TRB’s official twitter: @therecordblog (FOLLOW US NOW!).

FYI: Based on our timezone (+GMT 8), the live feed set to start at 8.00am, August 31. But no worries, I’ll remind you from time to time.

In the meantime, checkout the nominations here and start voting now!

Performers update (August 26, 2015): Nick Jonas (pre-show), The Weeknd, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Tori Kelly, Demi Lovato, Pharrell, Twenty One Pilots, & A$Ap Rocky (main show). And OH YEAH: Kanye West will receive the Michael Jackson's Video Vanguard Award!

Presenters & performers update (August 28, 2015): Britney Spears will be presenting the first moon man of the night. Justin Bieber is set to perform his new single, 'What Do You Mean'.
