The guy behind the sassy ‘I’m A Bitch’ returns with a midtempo new single, ‘Can’t Wait to Forget’, and the video is as dramatic as I expected it to be.
The song, which is about a painful heartbreak, is pretty strong sonically: the lyrics is universal (we all can relate to it at some point in our life), and I kinda dig that electronic vibe right in the chorus. But, Mathew's effort to be a little more edgy and emotional in his vocal sounds a little bit forced, especially in those high notes.
Nonetheless, it is still a damn good track, OK.
Anyway, the music video for the song is pretty great. Mathew is looking somber throughout the whole thing and the visual is on point with the song. That whole walking on the empty street, shivering in a dark room, plus that whole crazy pillow-throwing tantrum business. I really like it.
I can only imagine what Mathew would bring to the table with a much bigger budget.
