Avant-garde Adam Lambert tones down for his new music and we think it's perfect.

The haunting new club banger 'Ghost Town' from Adam's upcoming third studio album The Original High gets a fashionable dark video that is just as bewitching as the eerie hook. The video opens with shots of a literal, derelict town before cutting to its highlight – a dance party that can be summarised as “Coachella gone goth”, as Adam himself did during a recent interview.

The spooky dance party features the vocalist as a scary demon singer while dancers writhe and contort inhumanly to the music. Directed by the legendary Hype Williams, the emvee is shot in black and white, producing a strobe-like effect that exquisitely matches the music and Adam's smouldering looks akin to James Dean. For all I care, Mr. Lambert may be a popstar version of Pied Piper and I am ready to go to whichever creep dance party he whistles me to!

In this battle of Ghost Towns, sorry Queen of Pop but the Glam God wins hands down.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars.
