My sweet summer is filled with so many fresh new pop songs, but this one is blaring in my ears most of the time (well, currently, it is!).
Taken off Lea Michele's debut album, Louder. 'On My Way' talks about being young, a 'lil grown up, and in love. Basically, it's a fun song fits for a summer anthem. This one boasts a powerful bass-heavy beat, a departure from the recent tracks we've heard from her.
But, the video? Ms. Lea seems to take it a wee bit too far. She's writhing, bending her hips and flips her hair way too sexually and I understand that she's growing up from Glee, but this is not the way to do it.
Sure, the Crossroad-esque road-trip and hanging out with friends are very appropriate for this song, but other than that, I don't like it.
