Single Review | Fergie - L.A. Love (La La)

Fergie
L.A. LOVE (La La) - Single
Interscope
Release date: September 29, 2014

Eight years later, Fergie Ferg finally gave us what we've been waiting for - a new single! And we kinda hate it...

'L.A. LOVE (La La)', which is produced by DJ Mustard, find this 39-year-old Dutchess in the same spot as she did all those years ago. Yea yea, she sang something about her love for Los Angeles, which is pretty much the same thing she did with 'London Bridge' or 'Glamorous' in 2006. Unf.

This hip-hop tune is kinda OK but not the same as what she did before (come on, The Dutchess is still one of the best records ever released in the new millennia). It lacks the "it" factor. And do not get me start on that hideous single cover art (which warrant another apparent "unf" by me).

Stacy, I thought you'd do something filled with beats and slinky tune - this is not it, baby.

Fergie has been working on her follow-up for years and it is expected to be released in early or mid next year (as teased by her in the recent iHeart Radio Festival).

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars.
