Becky G's 'Shower' has been around for some months now and I don't know why, suddenly it decided to stay on my head and got me replaying it again and again. Unf.
This teen pop track, dubbed as one of summer's biggest hits this year, is heavily influenced by R&B, hip hop, snap music and yea, the obvious pop sonic. It's a catchy track for this 17-year-old's first big entry in Billboard Hot 100.
The video, in my point of view, is pretty literal. I mean, she takes the lyrics literally and sings in the shower! While she remains fully clothed and hanging out in her bedroom AND playing sparkles at a pool party (LOL, what?!), this video is pretty age appropriate.
You either love or hate this video.
I, on the other hand, despise the blatant product placements. Hello, Covergirl! Other than that, it's kinda OK.
