Music Video Review | Lana Del Rey - Shades of Cool

Lana Del Rey
Shades of Cool - Single
Polydor
Release date: May 26, 2014 (Single) / June 17, 2014 (Music Video)

I'm continuing with yet another Lana Del Rey's update with the release of her new music video, 'Shades of Cool', which is, in my opinion, wayyyy better and un-boring as her previous release, 'West Coast' (whoops, sorry not sorry).

In this music video, Del Rey plays a sexy vixen who is a lover to a much older but handsome man. I believe she's the other woman in this scenario, well, based on the lyrics and all.

Despite the slow beginning, the awesomeness kicks in when our favorite gal hits the streets of Bel Air, then dancing around in a very 60's-inspired mansion and swimming glamourly in a pool and wearing a very revealing white top.

I'm happy to say, the gloomy diva finally gets it right with this video.

FYI, Ultraviolence is currently on track to hit no.1 in Billboard 200 this Wednesday and hopefully it'll achieved its 145,000 sales prediction.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars.
