Flawlessly Fierce Olly Serves Ice Skater Realness in Another Catchy Hit

Years & Years
Meteorite - Single
Polydor
Release date: September 13, 2016 (Single) / September 28, 2016 (Music Video)

Following in the footsteps of other successful pop artists, Years and Years frontman Olly Alexander grooves to the disco beats of 'Meteorite' in a self-imagined Swarovski-embedded one-of-a-kind jumper.

Part of the soundtrack album for Bridget Jones’ Baby, the third instalment in the legendary book-movie series, 'Meteorite' is another upbeat earworm by the buoyant British band, unapologetically channelling dazzling disco divas of the past. The dance tune by the electro trio is the first music they have released over a year and was only recently debuted at London’s Bestival event on the Isle of Wight.

Porcelain wunderkind Olly kicks of the track’s visuals intensely voguing in a resplendent gender-bending frock worthy of his flamboyant moves. The emvee’s sparkle factor is amped to the max thanks to the soon-to-be-iconic ensemble, studded with 86,000 Swarovski crystals created by costume and fashion designer Lara Jensen. The vocalist is soon joined by his bandmates and other dancers, all taking part in a ritualistic dance led by the shining star.
