Single Review | Demi Lovato - Cool for the Summer

Demi Lovato returns with something we will never expect from her.

‘Cool for the Summer’ is a pretty glossy up-tempo pop song, definitely something identifiable as a product of Max Martin, the man behind countless of hits in music charts over the last, hmm, 30 years, I think.

Anyway, the thing that got me raving about this one is the buzzing synths that sounds so good throughout the chorus and obviously, the naughty lyrics: “Got my mind on your body, and your body on my mind, got a taste for the cherry I just need to take a bite.”

Yowza!

Plus, it is nice to hear Demi dipping into that dance pond instead of the expected pop/rock sonic.

But, still, this song sounds a little too cliché. We’ve heard this kind of song before; there is none of that “shock factor”, y’know what I’m saying?

Anyway, have a listen at the track below and drop us some comment!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars.
