Damn, Demi! The former TV star has never looked this sexy, ever!

One of the catchiest hits to grace our ears this summer, 'Cool for the Summer' gets arguably the hottest video treatment this time around as well. Demi comes out to slay in full force with her girl squad and skin tight outfits in the emvee that celebrates all the best things about summer.

Anything but cool, the video starts with Demi cruising the LA streets in a convertible with her group of girlfriends before arriving at a hot party filled with hot people where everybody had pillow fights, played with foam, jumped on a bouncy castle and passionately made out – just your run-of-the-mill summer soiree.

Throught the emvee Demi appears in various summer-appropriate looks – leather one-piece, cutout bathing suit and shorts with an amazing bikini top – while rocking short, greased up locks that were whipped back and forth like she just didn't care.

It is clear she's proud of her new body – which she reportly has worked hard to attain amidst fighting her eating disorder – however I hope she does not constantly make it an integral part of her future videos. Sex sells, sure, but Demi was one of the few artists who sold records with her voice and let's hope she continues in that route (cough, Miley Cyrus). Thank god tho she doesn't look like a small kid trying to play sensual adult like some artists (cough, Selena Gomez).

Directed by one of my favest emvee directors, Hannah Lux Davis, all in all 'Cool for the Summer' is clearly sealed to be an MTV favourite this season.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars.
