TV | Eurovision Song Contest 2015

By Shawal Ras

Massive win for Sweden!

Måns Zelmerlöw, who represented Sweden last night with 'Heroes', triumphed at this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, beating our favs, Russia's Polina Gagarina, and Italy's Il Volo.

Zelmerlöw's upbeat song was accompanied by this cool animated visuals (watch below!) and it is all about being a hero of your own self, your society, your country, etcetera etcetera etcetera. The usual ESC's theme, right?

The grand final (televised worldwide, also in Eurovision.TV and YouTube) saw 27 countries participating (the highest ever!), including this year's guest, Australia, who ended up in fifth place!

FYI, Guy Sebastian is Malaysian-born. A win for us! Haha!

Meanwhile, more than half of the seven pre-qualified countries received low points (yikes!); Germany, France, United Kingdom, Spain, and Austria. Keep it up, y'all!

Anyway. It has been a pretty good show. Very different from what we've seen before. To be honest, I kinda like this one despite the small stage and not-so-okay technological mishaps.

Whatever it is, we'll see you next year in Sweden, Eurovision! Gute nacht and keep on dancing
