Music Video Review | Tinashe - All Hands on Deck

Tinashe
All Hands on Deck - Single
RCA
Release date: February 24, 2015 (Single) / April 6, 2015 (Music Video)

By Shawal Ras

Princess of R&B, Tinashe, is back with a new music video for the sexy tune, 'All Hands on Deck'.

The video, directed by Ben Mor (of Britney Spears's 'Work Bitch' fame), finds the singer and her dancers ruling the abandoned shipyard.

One thing to love about this: it features the actual track instead of the 'remixed' version which includes Australian femcee, Iggy Azalea. To be honest, I don't understand why there's need to have a new version when the original is better left untouched.

And..

FYI, the singer and her dancers actually did their own stunts for the video. I mean, they're literally up so high in the air with no harnesses. "It was a thrill to make and I'm so excited for my fans to see this video. We really stepped it up, visually," she said in an interview online.

Anyway, if you're digging this tune, that I know you'll love her debut LP, Aquarius, which was released back in October. With tracks like '2 On' and 'Pretend', Tinashe is set to become the number one R&B act, replacing the flaming out Ciara (I'm not sorry about this statement, C).

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars.

  1. To me this video is just so cheap, just like her... it's a shame really, cuz the song is quite good...
