Music Video Review | Nick Jonas - Chains (The Wynwood Walls Edition)

Nick Jonas
Chains - Single
Island / Republic
Release date: July 30, 2014 (Single / Music Video 1) / March 31, 2015 (Music Video 2)

Nick Jonas, the only Jonas brother that matters (sorry, Joe), released another video for the single, ‘Chains’.

Prior to the sexy mode we’ve accustomed for late last year (Flaunt, anyone?), Nick introduced us to his macho side with the release of his new and maturer sound, ‘Chains’. The original video was darker, sleek, and definitely better, and it is nothing compares to ‘Chains’ 2.0.

The new video was filmed at the installation of Wynwood Walls in Miami and it is not as sexy as the original video.

In this, Jonas is throwing a street party (a la those Brazilian festivals) and to be honest, it would have been great for an uptempo track, but definitely not great for a mid-tempo ballad like this one.

I mean, you’re singing about the desperation of love while there are scantily-clad girls dancing wildly sexy to it.

It’s weird, man!
