Music Video Review | Florence + the Machine - What Kind of Man

Florence + the Machine
What Kind of Man - Single
Island
Release date: February 12, 2014 (Single / Music Video)

Everybody's going Sia these days aren't they? Or should I say going Kate Bush? We've seen Years & Years with their abstract 'King' and now Florence & The Machine is here with her equally jarring 'What Kind of Man'.

The video begins as most artsy music videos do with either a monologue or a conversation, and Florence opts for one of the oddest dialogues ever, with cuts to various other random scenes. It's so random for me to even talk about, but basically it features a man, various dancers and Florence's free nipples. I guess the good aspect of the video is how it lets every viewer come to their own conclusion based on the montages of many scenes at the end of it. The song itself, however, is a common Florence & The Machine fare.

p/s: Tweet me if you want to play a drinking game where we drink every time Florence puts her fingers inside her mouth.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars.
