Single Review | Delaney Gibson - Stars

Delaney Gibson
Stars - Single
(Independent)
Release date: November 4, 2014

Independent singer and songwriter, Delaney Gibson, is releasing her third album and the lead single off the new LP, 'Stars', has been released to celebrate our individuality and creativism.

According to the official website, Gibson is a California gal and has been studying classical voices since she was nine. With that, she has backed musical legends such as Barbra Streisand, David Foster and guess who? Andrea Bocelli!

Such an impressive resume, right?

Anyway, I've been approached to write a review about 'Stars' and upon the first listen - I kinda like it. Sure it doesn't sound very classical like what I've mentioned above but the song does sound good in the ear and my friends are liking it. But lyrically? They're all OK until this verse came up; "Have you ever posted a picture / Naked, scared and crying / It'd be a beautiful scene / Such a beautiful scene."

Hmm, no it's not.

Anyway, please don't kill me yet, Delaney! Other than that verse, I do like the song (plus 'Lions') and since my friends are re-playing it, it won't be soon before everyone will hear me humming to it.

Listen to the track below!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars.
