'Chasing the Sun' might be a pretty blergh comeback track from our favourite former Disney star, but the video is very summer-y fun!
Backed by a swaying guitar strum, this breezy track is the signal of Duff's new all grown-up era. Diving into Folk-like territory, Duff stated that she's steering away from her electronic sound in 2007's LP, Dignity.
But, despite that, this is no 'With Love' and it is such a bummer.
Still, thanks to the music video, the song pretty much creep its way into my loop-playlist and now I can't stop singing it!
In this video, Duff portrays a weary office gal, so to escape all that, she's day-dreaming to her sunny getaway, complete with a handsome hunk rubbing lotion on her, playing ball and frolicking in the waves.
Ahhhhh.
To be honest: I can totally relate to this 'cos, well, I'm stuck in the office during a much-needed summer break. You too, aye?
