Music Video Review | Zayn - LIKE I WOULD

Zayn
LIKE I WOULD - Single
RCA
Release date: May 17, 2016 (Single) / May 9, 2016 (Music Video)

By Shawal Ras

This may seems like an odd choice but Zayn has announced 'LIKE I WOULD', a bonus track off his no.1 debut solo album, as his third and latest single.

And yea, there's a futuristic emvee, too! Prolly a compliment to that metallic thingy he wore to the MET Gala.

Despite it being a side dish to the full offering, 'LIKE I WOULD' is pretty much a boppin' bop. It starts off with a slow burn, but it slowly morphs into something energetic: there are beats and the swish and swoosh of electronica sonic. This is prolly the most upbeat track in the album.

The music video, release a few hours ago, infused the track's clubby sound with, umm, Tron? There's Zayn in his futuristic getup, a bunch of dancers in uncomfortable latex, and a lot of strobe lights. A LOT. The video is kinda weird aesthetically and looks a lot like an ad for Toyota. LOLs.

But, let's be honest here, Zayn looks pretty darn good with that orange contact (y'know, if you're into that whole cyborg sex thingy). *Woof*
