Australian demi-god who also acts and sings for pleasure has released a heart-wrenching trilogy of music videos for the singles from his upcoming auditory masterpiece Blue Neighbourhood.

The deity from Down Under, whom followers used to worship via devotional Youtube videos and movies on the big screen, unveiled the new LP to function as a continuation of his mega-successful EP WILD. The trilogy of songs (two of which appear on the EP as well) are very different from each other sonically, however, share the plot which develops with each song released. Only two of the three, 'WILD' and 'TALK ME DOWN' (middle video 'FOOLS' is not), are released as singles but it goes without saying all of them are gems in their own rights.

'WILD'
The plot begins in the first emvee showing Troye and his beau (played by model/actor Matthew Eriksson) as kids who innocently play around albeit their familial differences - the singer comes from an average family whereas his love interest, whom he might not be aware of yet, comes from a dysfunctional family with a drunkard father. The vid ends with the little babe dragging his drunk father away from a get-together with T's father and some other guys, abruptly ending their hide-and-seek game at the beach. And, oh; the drunk man threatened his son that he will kill both of them if he saw them together again.

'FOOLS'
Since the threat from his father, they have both kinda gone their separate ways but only in this vid we see the two of them kissing, suggesting that the father threatened so after catching them in the act. The Eriksson babe has since taken a girlfriend which leaves Troye sad and miserable. But don't be sad T! He had to do it to keep you safe! :'(

'TALK ME DOWN'
The final emvee in the trilogy and the lead single from the new LP features the funeral of the babe's father. I'm guessing he died from a liver cancer caused by all that drinking but nonetheless it has left Troye's love interest super devastated. We get to see some of the good times they've had as father and son, and can't help but feel for the death of the single parent. Completely inconsolable, everybody from the funeral leave the babe to calm down at the cemetery, where Troye awaits and tries to console him. He almost manages to do it but the cockblocker beard of the babe interrupts causing the latter to leave Troye. Heartbroken, we see both Troye and Matthew stand separately at the edge of a cliff – as the video concludes with them jumping into the sea as kids.

What do you think happened? Did they both jump? Or only one did? Or maybe neither? Let us know in the comments section below!

P/s: My personal favourite of the three is the slow-burning 'FOOLS'. What is yours? Put it down at the space below!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars.
