Single Review | Mørland - No Firewall

Mørland, who represented Norway (as a duo with the red fox Debrah Scarlett) in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015, returns with his first solo single 'No Firewall'.

A background story: the song deals with the period after a long relationship where you have to adapt with the life outside the safe space you had as a couple. It is relatable, IMO. We've been there, experienced it all before. Sobs.

Anyway, much more upbeat than 'A Monster Like Me', the song builds before launching into an epic and loud final chorus. It has this whole British-influenced pop rock tune, kinda catchy, and pretty much an OK follow-up single for the lad.

I was expecting something better from him and his ghostly vocal. But, oh well, next one, perhaps?

'No Firewall' is currently available for download in iTunes. Listen to the track below!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars.
