Single Review | Nicole Scherzinger - Run

Nicole Scherzinger
Run - Single
Sony Music
Release date: September 30, 2014

Serendipitous, poignant and heart-breaking are three words that succinctly describe Ms. Nicole's new single from her upcoming album Big Fat Lie.

“Here's some advise for the next one/ Don't let him lead you to the dark/ Don't tell him all your secrets/ He'll leave you with a broken heart,” croons the sultry songstress as the song begins. Laden with heartrending lyrics, the piano-driven ballad is to serve as a reminder to her ex-man's new lover of what he is capable of. Though it could easily translate as a case of sour grapes – a former sweetheart just trying to scare her replacement – it doesn't, thanks to Nicole's sincere vocal efforts which simply carries you away to feel her hurt and pain.

Everyone, 'Run'. Right now, from abusive relationships, from bleak desk jobs and at a park for a healthier body.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars.
