Meghan Trainor, thank you for giving us the chance to celebrate our "bass" and "boom boom" to the world.
'All About That Bass' is a sassy 40's thumping pop song about celebrating your body and not succumb to the expectation of today's cruel expectation(s) on our body.
I am particularly in love with these lines: "I'm bringing booty back, Go 'head and tell 'em skinny bitches that."
Sure, am not at all impressed with the skinny-shaming that's going on here, but still, it's a cool song that celebrates those who are wee bit bigger than the others (me included).
Anyway. I wanna talk about the video...
This video, with a lot of pink, stars Meghan and her sassy group of friends dancing and flaunting their beautiful junks.
Oh. Sione Maraschino is also in the video. Yep, I'm talking about the guy who can shake what his mama gave him (wait, should I use "papa" - IDK).
Put that aside, y'all should really watch the video. It reminds me a lot of Do That Thing You Do and that intro in My Best Friend's Wedding. It's a fun video, y'all love it!
