LP Review | Rudimental - Home

Rudimental
Home
Asylum / Atlantic / Black Butter
Release date: April 29, 2013

By Shawal Ras

For those who are not aware of the band, Rudimental is an electronic music quartet from London. They created their own songs and pretty much produced Home on their own. Their most notable hit is 'Feel the Love' which topped the UK Singles Chart, thus, making them a powerhouse by the end of last year.

Hmm, after a few listening sessions at the house, I'm gonna cut to the point and tell you this: I am not a fan of it's overall sonic just because I think it is filled with dance and pop tunes (aren't you tired of it, people?). Nonetheless, the first track, 'Home', caught me by surprise. I love it as it have this R&B vibe to it. Yea, it is kinda sexy and sounds so good in the speakers (read: maximum volume!).

To be frank, Home is still a decent listen, but I'm not that crazy about it. But, what do you think about it? Do tell!

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars.
