The Brits can't stop churning out cool new singers eh? An alumni off The X Factor (UK version, of course!), Ella Henderson, released her debut single, 'Ghost', few months back and I am absolutely in love with her.
'Ghost', taken from her upcoming debut LP, Chapter One, is described as a power-pop single and pretty much a stomping hit for the radio. It's an unforgetable debut for this 18 year old gal. This track is produced by none other than Ryan Tedder (yes yes, the one behind Adele & Leona Lewis' chart-topping hits) and it shot straight to the top of the British chart. I wonder why she wound up in sixth place of the reality series?
The video, anyway, is kinda awesome. Filmed in Louisiana, the video centres around the idea of Ella haunting the guy who killed her (no reason of why he killed her though). Frankly, I think she looks sexy under that dim light of the motel and this haunting video is perfect for this uptempo song. It conveys the meaning of 'Ghost' in a very simple way - I love that!
Watch the video below and do keep in mind, Chapter One is set to be released on October 13, 2014. Five more weeks to go!
