LP Review | Loreen - Heal

Loreen

It is rare to see a European singer to release a very good electronic pop album. Heal, debut album from Eurovision Song Contest's 2012 winner, Loreen, is pretty much a very solid LP.

After she gave us 'Euphoria', which is probably the best Eurovision's winning song there is, Loreen sent us her long-awaited debut album after breaking through the chart with her very first single, 'My Heart is Refusing Me', back in in 2011. Her breathy vocal sounds amazing in some of the tracks, such as 'Everytime', 'Do We Even Matter', 'Heal' and yes, 'Euphoria'. Meanwhile, club-based tracks, 'In My Head', 'Crying Out Your Name' and 'Sidewalk' will definitely hit the nightclubs throughout Europe.

Two of Loreen's previous non-album singles, 'My Heart is Refusing Me' and 'Sober' are also given fresh-makeover into this album. Despite their much polished club-banging beats, I love the former pop version (and that's the reason why these tracks charted prior to her big win in Eurovision - there's no need for the extra polishing).

Overall, I'd recommend this album to you! It is insanely good and honestly, I would take this CD to America and shove it into any mainstream pop charts until it hit no.1.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars.
