Single Review | Lana Del Rey - Love

Lana Del Rey
Love - Single
Polydor / Interscope
Release date:  February 5, 2017

By Shawal Ras

It has been awhile since my last post (three months, ya?) but since my queen is releasing a new music, I really need to review it.

'Love', the first single off Lana Del Rey's untitled forthcoming album, is a real gem. It's a throwback to her Born to Die era where there's a lot of strings, hooks, and cinematic appeals to the sound of the song. 'Love' tells the story of a young couple going through the adventure of being in love.

Y'know, the sweetness of the first few months of being a couple where everything is dipped in sweet, sugar, honey, chemical X, etc.

Ah, Lana knows how to go deep within us, eh?

'cuse me now as I am putting this track on repeat while ‘going nowhere in particular’.
