Belgian superstar Stromae takes our breath once again with another deep track that will linger in your mind long after a listen.

Well-known for tackling various pressing issues via his music – one of his memorable videos is the haunting animated masterpiece 'Carmen' which speaks of self-alienation caused by social media – the multi-talent addresses an issue close to his heart in his latest. 'Quand C'est?', which translates to “When Is It?”, is a French homophone of the English word “cancer,” the subject of Stromae's new offering.

A chilly open letter to the deadly disease, the track is not only a lyrical treasure but also features a correspondingly frightening choreography devised by none other than the vocalist himself. Equal parts upsetting and beautiful, the emvee turns the main character's battle with the ailment into a horrifying dance, as Stromae skulks around on an auditorium's stage trying to avoid the claws of cancer. He however succumbs to the alien tendrils and is transported to a place where other victims of the unpredictable affliction are kept, faceless and featureless. Truly a masterpiece of music, movement and animation.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars.
