EP Review | Yuna - Sixth Street

Yuna
Sixth Street (EP)
Verve Records
Release date: May 7, 2013

By Shawal Ras

Take a stroll down on Yuna’s Sixth Street, her first extended play with renowned international label, Verve, founded by the David Foster (y’know, the guy behind Toni Braxton’s 'Un-Break My Heart' and Celine Dion’s 'Because You Loved Me').

The Malaysian-born vocalist continues with the same lush elegance and precise poetics that her previous works contained. This record packed with dreamy, and sunny and pretty laidback soundscape. This is indeed one helluva product released by a Malaysian in the music industry so far.

There is definitely something for everyone on Sixth Street, and please, do purchase it in iTunes and catch Yuna's summer soft vibes while relaxing on the couch with a glass of wine and good reads. Most notable tracks are; 'I Wanna Go', 'Let Love Come Through' (feat. Kyle) and 'Musician'.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars.
