LP Review | Lady Gaga - ARTPOP

Lady Gaga’s upcoming fourth album, ARTPOP, has leaked! The album, scheduled to release on November 11th, has leaked in the internet 9 days ahead of the initial date (side note: a true Little Monster will always wait for the official date and buy the original – deny piracy, my fellow readers) and there’s no denying, this is one of the most anticipated album of the year!

As a music reviewer, I decided to give the album a spin and I have to say… I LOVE IT!

Despite what critics are expecting from the album, Gaga kind of reviving her Fame era in this album. All tracks are filled with catchy and strong choruses, while most of the fast-tracks are rave-ready at any time.

My favorites from the album are ‘Artpop’ and ‘Do What U Want’ because both of the tracks got this surreal-like feeling to it and they doesn’t sound like the typical Gaga-esque at all. R. Kelly sounds superb in the latter track, too.

Meanwhile, ‘Donatella’ got the essence of ‘The Fame’. It talks about being rich and skinny (and being one bad bitch). I love this track and I bet it’ll be a success if she decided to make this as a single.

‘Fashion’, the 11th track of the album kinda remind of the 80s but it doesn’t include all those lame 80s pop vibe and Gaga infused modern sonic into it. I don’t love the track, but it is definitely one bubblegum-pop-ish track from the whole album.

Fave tracks: 'Aura', 'Venus', 'Manicure', 'Do What U Want', 'Artpop', 'Swine', 'Donatella', 'Dope', 'Gypsy' and 'Applause'.

Low note: 'Jewels n’ Drugs' (why bother with this one, Gaga?)

ARTPOP is definitely living up to Gaga's (and me) expectation. The album filled with tracks from different-genres, style and I believe this'll attract new fans, too.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars!
