 “We are the new Americana, high on legal marijuana.” 

 Halsey, a blue-haired chick with enchanting voice and edgy style, first released ‘New Americana’ in SoundCloud back in 2014 but gained momentum this year with the singer’s major studio LP, BADLANDS. 

The song starts with Halsey’s haunting vocal before kicking it off in the chorus with an uplifting chant over rad drum beat, “We are the new Americana, high on legal marijuana, raised on Biggie and Nirvana, we are the new Americana.”

 I AM LOVING THIS! It is high spirited, reminds me a lot of 'American', my fav track from Lana Del Rey’s grand EP, Paradise.
